Which map route should I chose?
Once you receive you pedometer, wear it for a 3 days while you go about your regular routine. Use your average number of steps per day to determine the route that is best for you. Remember to challenge yourself!
How long is will it take me to finish my map route?
If you are meeting your pre-determined step goals, it will take you 90 days or less to complete the route.
What do I get for completing my route in 90 Days?
Satisfaction! You have now begun the necessary steps down the road to a healthier lifestyle! Aerobodies Fitness will also contact you for a free 20 minute fitness consultation.
What do I do when I am finished my route?
You start a new challenge! If you sign up for a year membership, you have the opportunity to challenge yourself 4 times!
How do the map routes work?
It's simple. We have created 8 exciting and challenge routes to keep things excited as you meet your goals. For every 1000 steps you take, you will be moved 5 miles along your route. If you average the necessary steps per day, you will reach your final destination!
- Sedentary - participant will finish map route if he/she walks an average of 4,000 a day
- Slightly active - participant will finish map route if he/she walks an average of 5,000 steps a day
- Moderately active - participant will finish map route if he/she walks an average of 7,500 steps a day
- Active lifestyle - participant will finish map route if he/she walks an average of 10,000 steps a day
When will I receive my pedometer and walking journal?
You will receive your pedometer within 10 days of registering for MyEquilibriumCoach.com
I don't do a lot of walking during the day - how can I change this?
Believe it or not, you can increase your steps by making just a few changes in your daily routine. Here are some ideas:
- Stop taking the elevator and take the steps! Or take the elevator half way and walk the steps the other half
- Park farther away from the car than usual
- Forget drive through banking and pharmacies! Park your car and walk inside.
Why do I have a Walking/Fitness Journal?
We give you a walking and fitness journal so you can continue to monitor your progress even when you are away from a computer for a few days. Remember you have goals to reach daily!
Can I include other activities in my pedometer reading?
Yes we have included a guide that converts some other activities like gardening and housecleaning into steps per minute of activity.
Do I wear my pedometer all day?
Yes - you should wear you pedometer the entire day! Wear it from when you wake up to when you go to bed.
Is there any time I take the pedometer off?
Take it off when you take a shower, or anytime it may get wet (swimming). Also take it off when you go to bed.
When should I enter my pedometer readings?
Daily - we recommend you log onto the site first thing in the morning to log your steps from the day before. You will also be able to read our message board and communicate with coaches and other walking participants.
What if I can't log my steps daily?
No problem! That's why we are sending you a journal. If you can't get to a computer for days or even for a week, you can enter your pedometer readings and calorie consumption in your journal. When you get to a computer, you can enter the data for the days you missed!
Can I submit my team members' steps?
Yes! You can submit your team members' steps. Just sign in as your team member, using their email and password, and you can log their pedometer readings in their calendar on the tracking log page.
